Specialty Care Unit

Specialty Care Transport Unit (SCT) is a critical care ambulance staffed by a three-person team: a Critical Care Transport Nurse, a Critical Care Transport Paramedic, and an EMT. This SCT unit provides ICU-level care during interfacility transports, managing ventilators, vasoactive drips, and invasive monitoring for patients requiring a higher level of care than ALS can provide.
